I seem to like my subjects on milkweed flowers/plants...

This one had a really nice rack... unfortunately, it never would look in my direction.


This whitetail was browsing along a small inlet of the Maumee River. Very alert to my presence, I acted like I wasn't looking at him. Occassionally, they allow me to get a photograph!

Tetraopes tetraophthalmus

Milkweed beetle. One of the few animals that can safely consume milkweed plants. I was looking for one of the other animals (Monarch butterfly caterpillar) unsuccessfully, when I found this subject instead.

Cichorium intybus

Wildflower or weed? I guess it's a matter of opinion. Chicory makes a nice macro subject. From what I've read, it can be used as a flavoring or as a substitute for coffee.
